The author of this website would like to note:  "One look at Kelburn Great Event, and it takes me back to cattle that i grew up with....fertile, fleshy, with large rumen capacity for forages. 40 years ago we identified Shorthorn cattle that were sustainable and efficient on grass and wintering on just hay. We need to go "back to the future" and restore these valuable genetics so that they can be used once again as foundation building blocks in futhering the development for low-input grass based paradigm's."
